Dining at The Pretoria

The Pretoria is not only known for its fantastic scenery and warm country hospitality, but our cuisine is certainly the best. The Boathouse Bar & Bistro caters for up to 300 people with uninterupted views of the River Murray.

You can choose to dine inside in air-conditioned comfort or outside on the balcony and listen to the sounds of the river boats pass slowly by. Whilst dining on the balcony, the children can enjoy the large lawned area provided next to the off-street parking area.

The themed décor is unique and has been based on the heritage days of the river, with structural poles cladded in copper depicting old boat boilers capped at the historic 1956 flood level that overcame the hotel.

Children can select from their own special menu and kids both big and small will be tempted by the changing sweets menu including freshly made cakes and fantastic coffee selection.

Functions, buses, conferences and group bookings are The Pretoria’s speciality.  A special menu can be created by the team to suit your requirements. So for your next get together or special occasion contact us to discuss the varying options and themes available to you.
